Dear Friends
I am pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Paul Clohesy as Principal of Trinity College Colac following Bishop Paul Bird’s ratification of the decision made by the local selection panel.
Paul has been Principal of Mt St Patrick’s College, Murrwillumbah, New South Wales, in the Lismore Diocese, since 2016. Previous significant roles held by Paul include Deputy Principal at St Joseph’s College Geelong, Director of Students at Monivae College Hamilton and Year Level Coordinator at Salesian College Chadstone. Prior to that, Paul taught in various schools in the United Kingdom.
In addition to his broad practical experience as a leader, Paul brings to the role post-graduate qualifications in education, student wellbeing, secondary education, and Religious Education. An active parish and community member, Paul (along with his wife Julie and four children), will no doubt be warmly welcomed into the Trinity College Colac community.
We congratulate Paul on his appointment, wish him well as he makes the transition to a new principal role and look forward to welcoming him to this significant diocesan leadership position from the start of Term 4. Since Tim O’Farrell will take leave during Term 3, I am very grateful that Mrs Cheryl Pefanis (Deputy Principal) has agreed to be Acting Principal of Trinity College Colac during Term 3.
Yours sincerely
Fr Michael O’Toole College Governor
