Liturgical Celebrations

Significant emphasis is placed on the importance of prayer and liturgy. Students at Trinity College experience a variety of liturgical celebrations and are taught the value of prayer and meditation. Such experiences provide staff and students with opportunities to encounter the presence of God in their lives.

Each morning in every homeroom, students start the day with a prayer. Staff morning briefings and meetings also commence with a prayer.

Finding a venue that the whole school can gather in to celebrate mass is difficult and the only suitable venue is St Mary’s Church. It is a huge challenge for the Daily Organiser to arrange buses to transport over 800 students and staff to and from St Mary’s Church for two full school masses celebrated each year. Prayer sessions are celebrated in the Robinson Activity Centre, the Chapel, the Jubilee Centre, classrooms and at St Mary’s Church on special liturgical occasions and for end of year celebrations.
