Sport Teams and Representative Selection Procedures
At Trinity College, we are committed to providing positive and meaningful sporting experiences for all students. To ensure clarity, fairness and consistency, we have developed the Sport Teams and Representative Selection Procedures document. This guide outlines how students are selected for representative teams, the expectations for staff, parents and students, and the standards of behaviour that support a safe and respectful sporting environment. We encourage all families to read this document carefully so that you are aware of how selection processes operate, the responsibilities of all involved, and the values that underpin school sport at Trinity. Our aim is to foster participation, sportsmanship, and pride in representing our school, while ensuring a transparent and supportive process for everyone.
If you have any questions about these procedures, please contact the Sports Coordinator, Jane Hawker via email jhawker@tcc.vic.edu.au
Sporting Excellence Program
Trinity has recently teamed up with the Regional Institute of Sport to launch this program. RIS Director, Stuart Canavan, believes that regional students should not feel that they have to travel to larger cities for world-class sports performance programs. He is passionate about the important part that sport can play in a young person’s life and truly believes that exercise can improve life.
“I joined the program to improve my fitness. The instructors are experienced and have taught me the importance of warming up. The skills I’ve learnt have helped me improve my speed and agility on the netball court.”
