Senior Retreat Program

The senior students at Trinity College participate in a retreat program that is designed to foster the growth of individual faith as well as nurturing a sense of community and responsibility. Students are assisted to find meaning and value in their lives and to realise that they can make a positive difference to the world in which they live. Above all, we endeavour to instil in our young people a feeling of self-worth and hope.

2019 Student Retreats (2020 events had to be cancelled due to Covid-19 restrictions)
At the annual Year 11 and Year 12 retreats, our senior students were challenged to nurture their spiritual development. The retreats offered our students a chance to step back from the busyness of life and to spend time in reflection of themselves and those relationships which are so important throughout life: with family, friends and our God.

Ms Anne Hughes planned the retreats, with Miss Leesa Sharkey, Mrs Cheryl Pefanis, Mrs Angela McGlynn and Ms Libby Ryan leading the retreats.

The retreats turned out to be very successful and enjoyable experiences for both the staff and students. Many stories were shared, a few songs were sung and a lot of reflection and sharing took place.

Students really appreciated the openness and honesty of the teaching staff, who willingly shared their own life experiences in order to assist the students to reflect on their own lives and relationships. Staff were impressed by the maturity and trust shown by the students, who responded positively to the retreat program and all that was asked of them.

There were lots of games, funny stories, obscure quiz questions and some fantastic dance moves! Friendships were strengthened and people came away from the retreats knowing that they had experienced something that they would remember for the rest of their lives.
